In her International Women's Day address, Jane Roberts will highlight the work of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the largest reproductive health and family planning agency in the world. For Jane, there can be no gender equality without access to reproductive health. For her gender equality if the best chance going forward for people, the planet, and peace. She will also link gender equality to issues of population, poverty, and the environment. Jane is co-founder of the grassroots movement in favor of UNFPA named 34 Million Friends. Over 10 years and asking one dollar from 34 million people, the effort has garnered $4.2 million and is still going strong. Jane has been honored by the United Nations Association, by MS Magazine, by Women's eNews, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as part of the 1000 Peace Women Project sponsored by UNESCO.
