Today, we have news about another mass killing in the United States, this time at a Newton, Connecticut elementary school. So many of my friends and our leaders are in tears at the horror and loss of so many innocent children and adults who worked or volunteered there. Such acts seems imcomprehensible, yet they happen.
After hearing of this tragedy, one of my friends post on her Facebook page that Gallup polls showed that 47% of US households own guns. Gun owners fiercely protect their 2nd Amendement rights to "bear arms" and own these weapons which too often are used not for protection but unintended and intended harm and mayhem.
