International Women's Day
Saturday, March 7, 2015, 2 pm
St. Jude's Episcopal Church

International Women's Day is a United Nations Observance and a national holiday in many couinties, but not in the USA. UN Women was created in 2011 from four separate women's agencies, and headed by an Undersecretary-General. This program celebrates the role of women and highlights issues and future possibilities.
Come join this global conversation in your own neighborhood. UN Secretary General has asked all of us, public voices, nonprofits, civil society, what are the most urgent issues our world faces after the UN Millennium Development Goals end in 2015. Find out if we've achieve or failed to reach these MDGs. Tell us where you think the most urgent issues we face. We need your input. For background go to www.worldwewant2015.org
Discussion will be led by our SVUNA GenUN Youth leaders. They are our future but we can help shape the direction and focus.
